Spring has sprung!

Hello Everyone!

We will be passing our 4 month mark this sunday :) yay!!!! Jordan has been doing great! He has lost about 15 lbs so far and has developed a healthy lifestyle :). I am so excited that he is accomplishing what he set his mind to..... now I need to kick it into gear before he arrives home :). We are hoping to get the second leave cycle that is around 4th of July but it is looking like we are going to be coming home to visit around the beginning of June. I will know for sure in a couple of weeks.

The boys have been so spoiled since Jordan has been gone. I said that they could not sleep in bed with us but that did not work and they have been eating dinners with me........ meaning I literally give them the same food that I am eat! I know, I know!!!! But I feel obligated to when they are locked up while I work. I am pretty sure Frank is about 25 lbs now... eeek but at least Gus is still healthy :).

Any who, we are doing great in Florida while we wait out this deployment. I am so glad that time have been flying by!!! I just hope it slows down when Jordan comes back home because he will be deploying again next May/June but then we will be shore duty for 4 years!!!

We miss everyone so much!
Love,
Jordan, Amber, Gus, and Frank <3

February 2012

Good Morning!

The three month mark in Jordan's deployment is in a couple of weeks! Thank goodness weeks have been flying by for us :).

Jordan and I have both become very involved in our health and fitness..... Jordan loves weight lifting and I love cardio, especially speed walking on the treadmill with a nice book. I have only had a couple of people come up to me to let me know that "I better be careful because I could walk into something with my head in a book" "Didn't you see the girl that was on her phone and walked into a fountain?" "Better be careful, running into a wall may leave a mark"......... I just smile and thank them for their concern over me reading on the treadmill but assure them that if that does happen, they are more than welcome to laugh along with me!! Though it is very unlikely that I could walk into anything being on a treadmill lol!

The boys are doing great! Frank has such a strong love for younger children :). He gets very excited and will not leave the child's side or stop licking the child's face, hand, arm, or leg. they must have a sweet taste to him :). Gus has been breaking out of his shell. He will follow anyone that comes into the house and either sit next to or lick their hand to get a tummy rub. I am afraid though that Jordan is going to have a hard time finding a place to sleep since the boys have taken over his side of the bed :).

Spring is going to be here before we know it! Deployment will be over and a well needed vacation to see family and friends will be upon us :)

Always,
Jordan, Amber, Gus, and Frank

2012 and Beyond!

Hello everyone!
Jordan and I would like to keep everyone updated with our life. What better way to achieve this goal than start a blog for family and friends to follow! Bare with us, we are newbies to blogging and may be a little rough around the edges starting off :).

Well here goes nothing.....
It will be two months since Jordan has been deployed on January 25. The half way mark is just around the corner!! Thank goodness :). It feels like time is crawling but I have finally fallen into a routine, just Gus, Frank, and I. We (the dogs and I) have made it through the holiday season thanks to my Mom, Dad, and Baby Brother.
So far, Jordan has been having a decent time on deployment. He has been keeping himself busy with work, exercise, eating, and sleeping :). We have decided to adopt a bet that a couple in Jordan's squadron is doing..... We are both focusing on developing healthy lifestyles through healthy eating, exercising, and healthy sleep patterns. Whoever is able to achieve their goal through a "healthy weight or size" will ultimately gain a healthy lifestyle as well as a new wardrobe!!!!!!!! I say bring it on :).
Jordan and I will be planning a trip back home sometime this June/July. We are hoping to be able to come home around the Fourth of July! We are not sure how long we will be able to visit but will make the most of our time with family and friends :).
We miss everyone back home and cannot wait to see what the future brings!
Love always,
The Knights
